The hostel is really nice, it is a small hostel with 4 bathrooms and 4 dormitory rooms.
The rooms are spacious and they have a mix of bunkbeds and individuals beds.
The bathrooms are spot clean and the water pressure is amazing.
It doesn't have a luggage room so if you want to leave your luggage be mindful that it will stay in the hall.

A sweet hostel in a perfect location in Budapest. The staff are super friendly and always willing to show you the local side of Budapest.
The hostel itself is super comfy and also feels like home and it's a great place to be able social and meet new faces !

Amazing staff, amazing location, wonderful city. I was in Budapest for two days, wish I could have stayed there for a lifetime! Everyone at Big Fish was very welcoming and flexible, I arrived at midnight and left at 8pm two days later - they allowed me to check in super late and leave my luggage there on the last day. It was such a great vibe!

Staff is great and helpful. Bathrooms were very clean throughout the day. The rooms are spacious, with lockers, lights and sockets for every bed. Kitchen is also good. Location was good for me, a walk distance from main attractions (about 30 min). There are a lot of restaurants, fast food and markets around it. Also, the tram stop is almost in front of the hostel, and there is a metro station a few minutes away. There was no curtain in the room window, so the sunlight may be an issue.

can absolutely recommend the hostel we travelled to. Very friendly atmosphere, comfortable, clean and tidy. Also the staff is very helping and gives great advice where to go to first in Budapest, additionally they have a very valuable map to find special places to do things beside touristical attractions. Therefore I would say our stay wouldn't have been that great without this hostel.

Good place to stay, a little bit outside of the tourist neighbour so it was really what I was looking at. A lot of bars and cafes around the corner, tramstop just in front. The staff is a little bit rude, depend on the person.... But as I understand, the whole city/country (restaurants, bars) is like this so it's not a big problem after all. The vibe is ok, and the bathrooms/shower is SUPER clean.

This hostel is literally the best hostel I have ever stayed in! I find it hard to pick the best feature because every aspect was so amazing. The atmosphere was perfect and you instantly feel at home when you walk in the door . BigFish is an excellent place to meet incredible people and I highly recommend it for solo travelers. The staff/volunteers knew the best places in the area and always made time to chat or give advice on what to do and see . Unique, amazing, home- BigFish Hostel.

I stayed in the Big Fish for 3 nights with a friend and it was amazing: it was the cleanest hostel I have seen, the staff was so kind, the kitchen was fully equipped, baths were modern and clean, and the bedroom was very comfortable. It was also very calm (surely because I went there in February), and cozy. Being there felt like being in our own home! Also they offered us free coffee, tea and milk, which was fantastic! To sum up, I strongly recommend this hostel not only because all the things I said before, but also for it's astonishing prices!! I'm sure I'll go back... Maybe as a volunteer? The point is THIS IS THE BEST HOSTEL I'VE EVER BEEN TO

Liked: Super homely, loads of character, even down to the blankets and pillows. Loved the bathrooms. Very clean. Helpful staff. Very nice kitchen with pillows and cushions, an XBox, movies, and a guitar! A few minutes' walk from Blaha Lujza tér metro station, with the number 4 and 6 ring road trams running just outside.

Disliked: Pity they don't do breakfast, but they do have free coffee and tea. Also had a cold shower one night, apparently because too many people had just used the shower before me. Still, just minor complaints overall.
